U.S. set aside part of the band which will be used to provide free Internet access

October 14, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission recently issued a technical report, the body part of the channel for the distribution of free Internet service may be provided.

According to foreign media reported that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin said, "We need to set aside some of the free broadband channel, free broadband services to low-income people will be able to access the Internet."

T-Mobile warned that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission proposed 2155MHz-2180MHz band of advanced wireless services to interfere with the company's 3G services. However, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission said last month carried out laboratory tests showed that the equipment will not interfere with 3G services.

Federal Communications Commission said that the advanced wireless services to channel the ultimate winner in the auction must be taken to channel 25% for the provision of free Internet service, in which downlink data rate will be at least 768kbps. Channel 4 next year, the auction winner to provide free services to be covered by at least 50% of the U.S. population, in the 10-year license before the end of the period covered by at least 95% of the population in the United States.
